I'm having a hard time with the modulation, trying to figure out what's doing what. It's a lot of clicking around thru menus and takes some time to get used to, but all of the control is definitely there. The architecture of the synth (ie: old Trilogy interface section) is WAY better than before with the ability to go in and fine tune. Sounded better than some synths I'll choose not to name right now. Too gritty for my taste, but the quality and dynamics were stunning. The synths I did happen to hear seemed over processed, as if someone else already made and fattened up the patches. Hopefully they're planning on putting all those waveform categories back the way they were. However, now that we don't have them, I am missing the raw waveforms, notably 'Generated Square'. The synths are only the icing on the cake for me.
