Those measures typically require the audience be masked. Broadway touring shows at Reynolds Hall are under contracts requiring specific COVID-safety protocols be in place.

The Smith Center President Myron Martin said Thursday that lifting the venues’ mask requirement is not as simple as merely following the governor’s directives. Fans should expect to be masked and show proof of vaccination at upcoming performances by the great songwriter and pianist Jim Brickman through Saturday at Myron’s, and also Las Vegas Philharmonic’s performance of Beethoven’s 4th and 5th Symphonies on Saturday at Reynolds Hall. Ticket-holders for shows at both venues should expect to follow the existing requirements at The Smith Center, until officials at the performing arts center determine their own pandemic-safety policies. Steve Sisolak on Thursday lifted the mask mandate in public spaces throughout the state. This is the ongoing policy at The Smith Center even as Gov. Guests will continue to be required to wear face covers and show proof of vaccination status at The Smith Center’s primary venues, Reynolds Hall and Myron’s, at least for now. I have never heard anyone complain about their experience at The Smith Center. Service was very good that evening and the bento boxes provided the perfect appetizers. Last year I went with a group of women to see Girls' Night Out in the Cabaret. I'm told the seats on the main floor are much more comfortable. Fortunately, being in a box, I was able to stand during much of the performance and not be in anyone's way. The view from the box was good but the chairs were uncomfortable. (There is a $10 charge to use valet parking but, in my opinion, it is well worth it.) I sat in a box one level above the main floor. The line to get drinks moved a little slowly, but that was more the fault of the guests than the bartenders. There were a lot of docents to provide directions and any other needed help. Last night I saw The Book of Mormon in the main building. I've only been to The Smith Center twice both experiences were delightful.
